Answers:

1. How do I upload using FTP software?

1) Install FTP software on your computer. The most commonly used software is WS-FTP for PC's and Fetch for Mac's.

2) Once you have your FTP software, contact your BannersOntime Sales Rep to obtain our "Host Name/Address" as required by your FTP software(you will be assigned a rep once an order is placed). We require a username or password, however this is a quick and easy process.

3) Next, using the "Host Name/Address" you have been given, type "Automatic Detect" as your host type, your login and your password. Follow this example:

INSERT AN IMAGE OF CUTEFTP/WS-FTP

4) Now click your "Connect" button on the FTP software and your computer should see our server.

5) On our server, create a file folder with you or your company's name.

6) Now drag your files over to the new folder you have created.

7) Finally, call us to advise that you have sent files and give us imaging instructions. Unfortunately, FTP protocol will not automatically notify us when a file has arrived.

This completes the FTP process - your files are now on our network ready to be imaged.

2. What FTP Software should I use?

This first depends on your Operating System.  If it's PC, we suggest WS-FTP, if you use Mac, we suggest Fetch.  However, there are many other extremely good options and anyone of them should work fine.  Please note that we only know that our guide works with WS-FTP and Fetch.

3. How do I Upload using a PC and Internet Explorer?

Version Required
Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater

Preparing Your Files
We strongly recommend that you use WinZip to compress your files before uploading them to us. When WinZip is used in conjunction with the Upload Center, your transmissions will be faster and we rarely encounter any problems with Zipped files once we receive them. To obtain a copy of the software program - WinZip - follow this link.  (Please click here to learn how to use WinZip.)

How To
First begin by opening Internet Explorer.  Then type in the address provided to you by your BannersOntime Sales Rep(you will be assigned a rep once an order is placed).  Once this is done, you will either be prompted by a login screen seen here:

If you aren't prompted, simply goto "file" and click on "login as".  Then make a folder using you or your companies name and drag your file into it.

During the Upload
The lower left area on your Internet Explorer browser, the progress bar will be displayed during the transfer.  This bar will not display your progress correctly. This progress bar will generally show complete after about two minutes even though your transfer may take longer.

Known Problems
Fonts should not be sent from a PC using the Upload process.  All fonts should be
converted to curves.

5. How do I Upload using a PC and America Online?

AOL versions 3.0 and 4.0 both support upload technology as long as the browser used by AOL on your system is Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater. Having AOL version 4.0 does not guarantee that you have Internet Explorer 4.0. Check your system to see what version of Internet Explorer you are running.
